Get to know me!

Fuelled by iced coffee and reality TV, I’m Abby Prince, a textile enthusiast who dabbles in anything creative. From painting pet portraits to getting oddly passionate about nail art.

I’m a third year textiles student graduating this summer from Arts University Bournemouth in textiles BA(Hons).

I’m a mixed media textile designer, specialising in digital print and digital embroidery. My design process always begins by hand, creating detailed drawings with a focus on precision and expressive line work. I then develop these illustrations into detailed, layered textiles using a mix of traditional and digital techniques. This combination allows me to create work that feels both tactile and modern.

With a strong eye for colour and composition, I create refined designs that are tailored for high-end women’s wear collections, where quality, elegance, and originality are key. I love finding new ways to bring together digital print and embroidery, it’s where my work really comes to life. Combining the two lets me add depth, texture, and something a little unexpected to every piece I create.

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me experimenting with something new. I’ve always had an itch to learn, from stitching up bandanas for my dog or painting personalised gifts for every family birthday and celebration. For me, making is second nature, it’s how I relax, recharge, and stay inspired.

Away from anything artistic, my ideal day would be spent with friends at the beach house we visit every summer soaking up the sun with an iced coffee in hand, attempting to surf (not very well), and ending the day with cocktails as the sun sets.
