A European Summer

My specialist professional project is inspired by my travels to Greece and Portugal, where the vibrant cultures, landscapes, and architecture left a lasting impression. Drawing from the colors, textures, and architectural elements of these countries, my work explores the rich diversity of their visual identities. The project features a carefully curated look book, which highlights the fusion of traditional and contemporary design techniques. I have created sample pieces using the following techniques: CAD embroidery, digital printing, devore printing and quilting. The photographs capture the essence of my textiles, showcasing how these influences are translated into patterns. From the sun-drenched coastlines of Greece, to the colourful tiles and ornate details of Portugal, my collection celebrates the beauty of both natural and man-made environments, bringing together European history and modern textiles.
